Nicolas Laugero-Lasserre, a longtime street art collector and the head of ICART (Institut Supérieur des carrières artistiques), an art management school in Paris, reached out to the academy’s founders of school 42 soon after it opened and offered his collection to be displayed (for free) with the Art42 project. This project has been created to allow everybody to discover this art that doesn’t have a permanent exhibition in France yet, and give it a better visibility.
The collection had already been the subject of some 40 public exhibitions in small to medium cultural institutions, galleries and fairs across the country before it took up residence in Ecole 42.
Nicolas Laugero-Lasserre also created in 1999 the association Artistik Rezo with the desire to give culture access to the greatest number.
